Types of Abuse We Protect Against:

Physical Abuse

Hitting, pushing, restraining, or causing physical harm

Emotional/Psychological Abuse

Bullying, intimidation, humiliation, or threats

Sexual Abuse

Any unwanted sexual contact or exploitation

Financial Abuse

Theft, fraud, or misuse of money or property

Neglect

Failure to provide necessary care, food, or medical attention

Rights Abuse

Denying choice, privacy, or dignity

Our Risk Management Process

Identify Risks

We systematically identify potential risks through assessments, consultations, and monitoring

Assess and Prioritize

We evaluate the likelihood and impact of each risk to prioritize our response

Implement Controls

We put measures in place to eliminate or minimize risks, including policies, training, and supervision

Monitor and Review

We continuously monitor the effectiveness of controls and update our approach as needed

Staff Screening and Training

We ensure all staff are suitable and prepared:

  • Comprehensive background checks including police checks and working with children checks
  • Reference checks from previous employers
  • Mandatory safeguarding and abuse prevention training
  • Regular supervision and performance reviews
  • Ongoing professional development in risk management
